Instructions
Slice both the watermelon and golden melon into half-inch thick slices.
Use a medium (3-inch) star-shaped cookie cutter to cut stars from the watermelon slices.
Use a small (2-inch) star-shaped cookie cutter to cut smaller stars from the golden melon slices.
Thread 8 blueberries onto each bamboo skewer.
Top each skewer with one golden melon star followed by one watermelon star.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
For clean cuts, make sure your cookie cutters are sharp and press straight down firmly through the fruit.
Pat the cut fruit stars gently with paper towels to remove excess juice before assembling the skewers. This helps prevent them from sliding off.
If serving outdoors in hot weather, keep the assembled skewers refrigerated until just before serving to maintain their freshness.
To make threading easier, use the pointed end of the skewer to pierce through the center of each blueberry.
For the most vibrant presentation, assemble these skewers no more than a few hours before your event.
