Blend garlic, lime juice, jalapeño, and cilantro into a juice using a food processor.
2 limes, 6-7 jalapeño slices, 2 tablespoons of minced garlic, ½ cup cilantro
Peel the avocados, chop them into chunks, and place them in a medium bowl.
4-5 Hass avocados
Add diced onion and the previously made cilantro lime juice to the avocados.
½ purple onion
Mix everything together until the guacamole reaches a creamy, smooth consistency.
Enjoy the guacamole with your favorite dippers, chips, or veggie sticks.
Notes
Choose ripe avocados. They should be dark green and have no bruises. If they are too ripe, the guacamole will turn brown quickly after you make it. Need to buy them ahead of time? Try to buy them about a day before you need them to allow them time to ripen.
If you do not have a food processor, feel free to mince by hand or chop with a knife. However, the guacamole will probably be a bit chunkier and less creamy than if you use a food processor.
Make sure that the ingredients are small enough pieces that they can all blend evenly.
To make peeling avocados easier, mash the avocado (or slice it in half) and scoop it out with a spoon, rather than peeling each piece by hand!
