Easter Egg Jello Shots are a vodka jello shot that is made in a plastic Easter egg. Get in the spirit of Easter with these easy vodka Easter egg jello shots.
Using a sharp knife, carefully make a small hole (or make an existing one a little larger) at the top of the plastic Easter egg.
Brush the inside of the plastic egg with vegetable oil.
Put the two sides of the egg together and seal the seams using scotch tape. A lot of the plastic Easter eggs have drainage holes, be sure to cover those with tape too. Set in the holder and aside for now. Leave open the hole that you made (or made larger).
In a small bowl, stir the contents of the jello package and the gelatin.
Add the boiling water and whisk until fully dissolved.
Add the vodka and stir a couple of times.
Using the food safe syringe, fill each egg through the hole at the top of the egg. Carefully fill to the top. A standard, small size plastic egg holds approximately 60 milliliters or 2 ounces.
Once filled, place in the fridge until the jello sets, approximately 1.5- 2 hours.
Carefully remove the tape and break open the egg.
Remove and enjoy!
Notes
Jello - Any flavor of jello can be used in addition to the gelatin. Tape - You need to make sure to use quality tape or the egg will leak when you go to pour in the liquid. Hole in top - You just want a hole in the top of the egg to ensure it is going to allow you to easily pour the liquid inside. Egg Carton - Placing plastic eggs in an egg carton works great at keeping the eggs in the upright position as you are waiting for the jello to set up in the fridge. Refrigerate - Refrigerate your jello shots until you are ready. You can remove from the molds once the eggs are fully set up. Then store in a sealed bag or container in the fridge.
