Easter Rice Krispie Treats (Quick and Easy Recipe)
Easter Rice Krispie Treats are a sweet and salty Easter no bake dessert. Made with Rice Krispie cereal, pretzels, and Cadbury chocolate. These sliceable bars are a must make for a holiday feast or after school treat.
Add marshmallows to the pot and stir until they melt.
Take the pot off the heat and mix in cereal, pretzels, candy, and mini marshmallows.
Pour this mix into a parchment paper-lined pan and spread evenly.
Melt some candy and drizzle it over the bars from a piping bag.
Add mini eggs and sprinkles on top.
Let it harden, then cut and serve.
Notes
Use fresh marshmallows for best results. If your marshmallows have hardened, they won't melt properly and can result in tough rice crispy treats.
When melting the marshmallows, keep the heat low to prevent them from burning.
If your mixture is too sticky to handle, try greasing your hands with a bit of butter or non-stick spray. This will make it easier to press the mixture into the pan.
Don't press the mixture into the pan too hard. Doing so can make the treats dense and hard. Instead, lightly press it until it's evenly distributed.
Be patient when letting the treats harden. Cutting them before they've fully set can lead to them falling apart.
If you have leftover melted chocolate, store it in a ziploc bag and cut off the tip for easy drizzling for future use.
