Want to make a tasty game day snack? These Taco Seasoned Pretzels are the perfect blend of crunchy and salty and are coated in a great blend of bold spices. They will diappear quickly!
Place the butter in a large mixing bowl and microwave for 1 minute or until fully melted.
½ cup Salted Butter
Add ¾ of the taco seasoning packet to the melted butter. This would equal 1 ½ tablespoons or 0.75 ounces. Stir.
1 ounce Taco Seasoning
Add the pretzels to the bowl and gently fold them into the butter mixture until all the pretzels are fully coated.
16 ounces Sourdough Pretzel Bites
Spread on a 9x13 baking sheet and sprinkle the remaining taco seasoning over the top of the pretzels.
1 ounce Taco Seasoning
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
Notes
I've found that an empty spice bottle is a great way to evenly sprinkle the taco seasoning on top of the pretzel pieces.
If you want lightly seasoned pretzels, use only half the seasoning packet which is .50 ounces or 1 tablespoon.
It's important that you lay the pretzels in a single layer, so you will need a large-rimmed baking sheet. If they are stacked on top of each other they may become a little soggy.
There is no need to stir or flip the pretzels while they are baking, leave them be so that they toast up nicely.
