Recipe FAQs for Healthy Acai Smoothie

It all depends on the ingredients used to go with the smoothie. You will find that the acai itself is loaded with rich antioxidants and nutrients. Add in the avocado, healthy coconut oil; it is a very healthy smoothie to sip on.
It is recommended to serve this smoothie freshly from being made. It is going to melt a bit and become a lot thinner in texture. You will also find the smoothie has the best flavor fresh. seIf you don’t want to drink it all right away, store it in an airtight glass in the fridge for 1-2 days. Stir well before drinking. The mixture can separate a bit once it sits.
The key to ripe avocado is looking at the avocado. Make sure it is bright in color and has minimal blemishes. Then feel the avocado and make sure there are no soft spots. If you find soft spots, it could be bruised or mushy underneath. Gently squeeze the avocado in your hand. You want it to have a slight give but still feel firm. Too soft means the avocado is overripe.
The two are not the same thing. Coconut water is light white water that has a sweet coconut flavor. Whereas coconut milk is a milk replacement, reach for coconut water, not milk, for this smoothie recipe.
