Recipe Tips for Oreo Dessert Dip

  • Use softened cream cheese, or the dip will be clumpy.
  • Any flavor of Oreos works for this recipe. Mint, Golden Oreos, etc. Have fun and try out different flavors.
  • Instead of marshmallow fluff, you could swap with Cool Whip for a lighter texture if you want.
  • Make sure to refrigerate the dip until you are ready to serve.
  • Add in some food coloring to match a holiday.
  • Top with festive sprinkles along with crushed cookies if you want.

Storing Tips

Store the Oreo dip in the fridge in an airtight container. This dip will store for 2-3 days easily. Then stir when you are ready to serve. Feel free to top with extra Oreos to add a crunchy texture.

You will find this dessert dip doesn’t freeze well due to the cream cheese in the recipe. It will separate and curdle a bit once it is thawing from being frozen.

Recipe FAQs

Does Oreo fluff go bad?

This will go bad after a few days; you can expect it to last for 3-4 days. Just make sure you refrigerate the dip in the fridge when you are not serving it.

Can I make this dip a day in advance?

You can make the dip a day in advance if you want. Just reserve the Oreos on top till right before serving. That way, they hold the right texture before serving.
