Tips from our Recipe Developer

  • Go right ahead and use a flavored lemonade if you want, or stick with a classic lemonade.
  • Use a high speed blender so it will crush the ice really well.
  • Feel free to add in some vokda, rum, tequila, or other booze of choice. Add a shot or two to make as strong as you would like.
  • Add in a splash of flavored syrup like cherry, strawberry, cranberry, etc. This will add great sweetness. Just omit the sugar in the recipe if you add syrup.
  • Instead of lemonade consider limeade for flavor.

Storing Tips

These lemonade slushies are best served fresh after it is made. If you do not want to drink it all right away you can freeze it but know it will freeze pretty hard.

I made these slushies last weekend with friends (and added some vodka 😉 ) and they were incredible! I’ll be making all summer long!

Delicious and so refreshing! I can’t wait to make these when entertaining on a hot summer’s day. I like that the recipe doesn’t call for a lot of refined sugar.
