Storing Cookies
This easy cookie recipe is great for cookie swaps and even bake sales. If you want to make a few batches, simply allow cookies to cool and store in an airtight container. Just make sure the cookies are fully cooled before placing in a container to prevent condensation building in container.
Room Temperature – These cookies can be stored at room temperature. Brookies are best eaten within the first 2 days of being made but can store for up to a week.
Freezer – You can also freeze any of these chocolate chip brownie cookies for 3-4 months. Just place in a freezer bag or container and freeze. Then thaw at room temperature when you want to eat.
Helpful Tips For Making Cookies
- Make sure you chill the dough. This step allows you to shape the cookie dough into a bowl. But also it helps make the cookies not flatten too much in the oven.
- Watch the cookies, and use the cook time as a guide. Some ovens will cook the cookies faster. If you overbake the cookies will dry out and be crunchy.
- You are welcome to use store bought cookie dough if you want to skip some prep work.
- Sprinkle the cookies with some sea salt flakes to help bring out more sweetness from the chocolate.
