Ingredients Needed For Caramel Cheesecake Brownies

  • fudge brownie mix (plus ingredients on the back of the box)

For the caramel sauce

  • light brown sugar
  • butter
  • milk
  • vanilla

For the cheesecake

  • cream cheese
  • sugar
  • vanilla
  • eggs
  • Prepared caramel sauce

How to Make Caramel Cheesecake Brownies

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray and set aside.
  3. Start by making the caramel sauce.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat butter until melted. (Photo 1)
  5. Whisk in brown sugar and milk. Heat over medium heat, bringing to a boil. (Photo 2)
  6. Boil for 5-6 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla.
  7. Place your caramel sauce into the refrigerator or freezer to cool.
  8. In a large mixing bowl, combine brownie mix and the ingredients from the back of the box. Prepare according to directions. Pour the brownie batter into your 9×13 dish. (Photos 3 & 4)

  1. Once the caramel has cooled slightly, begin making your caramel cheesecake topping. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese for 1-2 minutes. 
  2. Add sugar, and mix again until incorporated. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix again until combined. (Photo 5)
  3. Add in caramel sauce. Mix one last time to combine the caramel with the cheesecake. (Photo 6)
  4. Pour caramel cheesecake mixture into the pan on top of your brownie batter. Use a toothpick or butter knife to add swirls into the cheesecake batter. (Photos 7 & 8)
  5. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 60-70 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center, comes out clean. The cheesecake layer will still be slightly moist.
  6. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

Storage

These brownies will keep well in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Tips For Caramel Cheesecake Brownies

  • Don’t overmix your brownie mix as that can make them tough.
  • If you want extra caramel flavor, drizzle some caramel sauce on top.
  • You can use store-bought or homemade caramel sauce for this recipe.
  • For easy removal of your brownies, line your pan with parchment paper, and once the brownies cool you can remove the parchment paper from the pan.
