Lunchtime Ideas: PB & Jelly Banana Sushi Tortilla Wrap
Lunchtime is always a bit challenging with kids. Especially if you have to send your kid to school with one from home, they are not the easiest to please, and often, we, as parents, feel guilty for sending the same old sandwich to school for lunch over and over again.

Not to mention those annoying videos on Pinterest and Facebook with kid school lunch ideas that are pretty much mini gourmet meals in small multiunit bento boxes. I don’t know about you, but they leave me growing inwardly as a sack of shame lands on my shoulders, telling me I need to up my lunch box game. So, here’s my attempt at it with something that actually makes sense to send with a kid to school.
If you don’t have time to be slicing and dicing your way through three hours’ worth of prep lunch, these peanut butter & jelly banana “sushi” tortilla wraps are a step up from your traditional PB&J while still being realistic. It’s an easy recipe that you can make in 5 minutes! All you need is tortilla wraps and layer peanut butter, bananas, and jelly, and you’ve got yourself (and your child) a new favorite lunchbox staple.

PB&J Banana Tortilla Wraps FAQs
It is up to you! The flour tortillas are usually bigger, so I recommend using them for this recipe. However, if you want to go with the healthier option and use wheat wraps, then that is fine too. Just make sure they’re big enough to hold a banana.
You can, but chunky peanut butter may pierce and rip the tortilla wrap due to the crushed-up peanuts. You’ll want to make sure you use a “tougher” tortilla that isn’t prone to ripping.
You can use any nut butter! Almond, cashew, or even sunflower seed if you want to go with a peanut-free option. You can also make it a dessert wrap by using Nutella, cookie butter, or any chocolate spread of your choice! I highly doubt you’ll hear any complaints about that!
I used raspberry jelly for this recipe, but you can use any type of jelly: strawberry, grape, etc. You can also leave it out entirely and just make a peanut butter wrap instead if that is what your kid prefers!
Nope! Although an icepack thrown in a lunch box never hurts, you don’t have to worry about keeping anything cold with this wrap.
