Tips For This Mini Cannoli Recipe

  • You can use any chocolate chips you like. Semi-sweet, dark, white, peanut butter, etc.
  • Use a piping bag for easy filling of the shells and uniform look. If you don’t have a piping bag you can use a storage bag with the corner cut off.
  • Make sure that you coat the wonton wrappers well with the melted butter so that they crisp up nicely for the mini cannoli bites.

Substitutions and Variations

  • Make different flavors by using orange or lemon extract instead of the vanilla called for in the recipe.
  • Not a fan of chocolate chip mini cannolis leave them off completely.
  • Instead of chocolate chips, you can use chocolate Jimmie-style sprinkles.
  • You can use any kind of nuts you like. Almonds, peanuts, or hazelnuts are all great choices.
  • These mini cannolis also taste amazing by themselves without the chocolate chips and nuts.
