What is French Fry Seasoning…

French fry seasoning is a blend of spices that will help elevate the flavor of your fries. You will find it has a mix of salty and flavorful spices that truly enhance the flavor of these fries to a whole new level.

You get to control the spice facto so you can make the fries warm and spicy or just a burst of salty flavors that make the potatoes taste even better.

Why this recipe works

Minutes to Make – This takes literally a minute or two to measure up the spices and mix them together. Then it is ready to sprinkle on your fries and season up fries, tots, etc.

Stores Well – Place in a sealed container and can store for up to 6 months. This is great to keep on hand in your cupboard to use whenever you whip up fries.

Versatile – Now you can also change up spices used to alter the flavor of this seasoning. Want it spicy add more spicy flavors like the cayenne. Or tame it down and use less or skip it altogether.

Gift – Whip up this recipe and then place in a nice jar and gift to someone who enjoys spending time in the kitchen. This is a great DIY food gift to give your friends and family.

Tips from our Recipe Developer

  • If you want a mild fry seasoning, leave out the cayenne pepper, and swap in paprika.
  • Make sure to use fresh spices to ensure you get the best flavor.
  • If you like spicy, do 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
  • Garlic powder can be subbed in for garlic salt. Just add a little salt in as well to help elevate the seasonings.
  • Use as little or as much as you would like to sprinkle on the fries or tater tot.
  • Make sure it is kept dry or it will clump up as it sits in the pantry.
  • Experiment with spices to create more flavor to the recipe as you would like.
  • You can shake or stir the seasoning between each time of use to ensure it stays incorporated.

Storing Tips

Room Temperature

Make sure to place the seasoning blend in a sealed container. You can buy a seasoning jar and use it or save back an old one. Or place it in a mason jar, and store it for up to 6 months. Keep in a cool, dry place in the pantry or cupboard.

What to serve or eat with fry seasoning

Pair your fries or tots with these Hot Cheetos chicken tenders, or if you love chicken, try this chicken pesto sandwich. Or this chili cheese dog bake would be great; the fries can soak up the extra chili fixings on the plate.
