Turkey Bacon Club Lunch Kabobs FAQs

Can I use this recipe to make a grilled cheese club sandwich instead of skewers?

Absolutely! You can turn this recipe into a regular grilled cheese club sandwich instead of kabobs. Just put the ingredients between the two grilled cheese sandwiches, and you’re good to go. You’ll want to use slicing tomatoes instead of cherry, but that is the only real modification you’ll need to make.

Do I have to use turkey?

You don’t! If you want to use chicken, ham, roast beef, or even just use bacon only, you can. Whatever lunch meat you prefer will work just fine.

Can these lunch skewers be made ahead of time?

Yes! These kabobs can easily be assembled ahead of time for a quick grab-and-go lunch or snack.

How long do these skewers last?

These grilled cheese kabobs are best eaten within a day or two from when they’re made, so they don’t get soggy! If you are taking them to lunch at work or school, I recommend assembling your skewers the night before and storing them in an air-tight container. This will keep them fresh so they’ll be ready to eat when you are.

How do I eat these skewers?

You can either use a fork to pick up each ingredient as you eat them one by one or take bites of all four ingredients at once! If you want to make sure there is an equal amount of each ingredient on your skewer, just cut them into equal portions before you assemble the skewers.

Do I have to use cherry tomatoes?

You don’t! You can add whole grape or sliced regular tomatoes instead if you prefer them over the small ones. In fact, there are so many other options for swapping out ingredients in this recipe that just about everyone should be able to enjoy it! Feel free to get creative and make your own signature kabob!
