If you have leftover turkey from a meal you can use that instead of deli turkey.
If you want an extra pop of color, sprinkle some fresh parsley on top of your sandwiches.
Do not over-bake or the turkey will dry out. You can also broil sandwiches for a couple of seconds if they are not golden brown enough.
Substitutions and Variations
- Poppy Seeds – If you are allergic to poppy seeds or do not like them leave them off.
- Hawaiian Rolls – If you prefer a savory bun instead of the sweet get regular slider buns or the butter rolls.
- Spicy – Not a fan of spice? Use dijon or regular mustard instead of spicy mustard.
- Cheese – This recipe is great with any cheese, but feel free to leave it out completely if you prefer.
- Vegetarian – Skip the turkey and use vegetarian crumbles instead.
