Tips from our Recipe Developer

  • Creaming the butter and sugar for 2 minutes is going to help allow the butter and sugar to become ultra-creamy. This is going to help the texture of the cookies.
  • Slowly mix in the flour mixture a little at a time. Once the cookie dough is well mixed then fold in the chocolate chips.
  • In terms of chocolate any flavor of chocolate chips work. From dark to milk chocolate or even white chocolate if you want.
  • You can make a homemade frosting instead of buying a jar if you want. Any flavor of frosting will work great.
  • Make sure to grease the cookie sheet well. This will prevent the cookies from sticking to the pan.
  • Allow the cookies to fully cool before you go and frost the cookies.
  • You can change up the Chip Ahoy cookies to your favorite crumbled cookie. Try an Oreo cookie crumble.
