Ingredient Notes:

  • Jiffy Cornbread Mix – Two boxes prepared according to package directions and crumbled. This creates the perfect amount for a 9×13 dish.
  • Onion and Celery – These aromatic vegetables provide the classic stuffing flavor base. Make sure to dice them evenly.
  • Butter – Adds richness and helps soften the vegetables. Use unsalted to control salt content.
  • Chicken or Vegetable Broth – Provides moisture and flavor. Choose low-sodium varieties to control seasoning.
  • Herbs – Ground sage and thyme bring traditional stuffing flavors. Fresh herbs can be substituted if desired.
  • Eggs – Help bind the stuffing together and create a perfect texture.
