Ingredients
- Jalapenos – slice and remove the seeds. You may want to wear plastic gloves as they can be hot!
- Cream cheese – needed to make the creamy mixture on the inside of the jalapenos.
- Cheddar cheese – this is my favorite type of cheese to use, but any type of cheese will work.
- Cooked bacon – you can also use turkey bacon as well.
- Puff pastry – This puff pastry is perfect for wrapping around the outside of the peppers.
- Candy eyes – edible eyes are a must!
- Egg yolk – added to the outside of the dough to help it turn golden brown when baking.
How To Make Halloween Jalapeno Poppers

Step One: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Step Two: In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and bacon. (Photo 1)
Step Three: Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. (Photo 2)
Step Four: Spread the cheese mixture into the jalapenos with the help of a spoon. (Photo 3)
Step Five: Slice the puff pastry into thin strips with a pizza cutter. (Photo 4)
Step Six: Wrap 2-3 strips around the stuffed jalapenos. Leave some space for the eyes. (Photo 5)
Step Seven: Brush egg yolk on the dough.
Step Eight: Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Take them out and let them cool for 10 minutes.
Step Nine: Place the candy eyes on the jalapenos. (Photo 6)
How to Store
If you have leftovers of these fun treats, just put them in an air-tight container and store them in the fridge. They’ll be ready to reheat and enjoy when you’re reading. For the best flavor, eat within 1-2 days.
Substitutions or Variations
You can make more Halloween fun by adding a few different ingredients. Instead of candy edible eyes, you can add black olive slices are the eyeballs.
